We serve delicious home-made food along with a wide selection of real ales, beers, & wines. Whether you’re looking for a pint, pub lunch, or an evening meal the Boot & Shoe welcomes everyone including the dog. Providing a friendly & relaxing atmosphere. We are open 7 days a week 11am-10pm. The Boot & Shoe has been known to host some of the best live acts such as: John verity, Hardwicke circus, The Mustangz trio and Stevie Gibbons to name just a few. We will continue to bring you the best live music every Sunday at 4PM, held in the finest Inn – the one the only Boot & Shoe.

For the past 15 years The Boot & Shoe has been working hard to keep the live music scene in Cumbria alive. Faced with many setbacks in the past couple of years due to covid we are still here to bring you the best bands around!

Went for lunch on Sunday 9th October. I had the roast beef dinner which was superb. Lovely tender beef, roast and mash potatoes, parsnips, selection of vegetables and excellent Yorkshire pudding. Couldn't fault it friendly attentive staff and the pub has a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend
